The design of this rock drill was meticulously developed from scratch, taking into account the specific performance parameters and operational requirements in close collaboration with the client. The design process exclusively utilized SolidWorks, encompassing various aspects such as solid modeling, CAD drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs), Finite Element Method (FEM) stress analysis, movement analysis, as well as the creation of operation and maintenance manuals.

IQE Responsibilities Included:

• Working with client to identify key operating parameters

• Complete mechanical design including engine selection, hydraulic system, controls, custom hydraulic & fuel tanks, frame design, articulating track design, articulating boom design, cab design.

• Safety (ROPS design & other aspects)

• CAD construction drawings with BOMs, hydraulic schematics

• Inspections and assistance during fabrication
